Chinthana-Manthana, the Readers’ Club of AIET, focuses on nurturing the comprehension and composition skills of students.

Chinthana-Manthana, the Readers’ Club of Alva’s Institute of Engineering and Technology (AIET), Mijar, Moodbidri, focuses on nurturing the comprehension and composition skills of students. It is important to emphasize that the club is a blend of both co-curricular and extracurricular activities. This enables students to strengthen their literary foundation, thereby fostering and reinforcing their holistic personality development.

Vision: 'To foster a culture of reading, writing, and literary appreciation among students, thereby instilling lifelong comprehension, composition skills, and a passion for books.'

Mission: To cultivate reading habits and enhance comprehension skills through engagement with books across Science, Arts, and Literature. To provide opportunities for students to participate in activities that explore the influence of books on individuals and society. To strengthen students' comprehension and composition abilities, enabling effective communication and lifelong learning.

Objectives

    Enrollment of its working members who show enthusiasm in reading books of genre ranging from Literature, Art, Fiction, History, Science etc.

    Conduction of activities focusing on enabling reading, comprehension and debating about the literary context.

    Facilitating talks, seminars, group discussions by well renowned personalities, resource persons and also alumni.

    Contributing an aid from the club through its working members to the societal benefit.
